I've been working on improving the finger tracking of my multitouch software. In the video below, you'll see my fingers with colored lines behind them. When a line disappears, or changes colors, that means the finger has been recognized as a new touch. Obviously there are still some bugs to work out, but overall I think it's coming along well.

Hey Nora,
I'm using my own software I coded in C++. It uses opengl for graphics and opencv for the capturing/image processing.
cool!
I'm using vvvv at the moment just to get my project finished.
It's not the best for capturing or image processing. When i finish I'm going to go the C++ route.
Is it possible to port your software to Mac? It seems to work very fast comparing the most videos of DIY screens...
Hey Panu,
I'm sure my software could work on the mac. If I can convince my wife to let me code on her new G5, then I might port it. Otherwise, it's sticking to windows for now.
BTW, I'm runing a 3.0ghz P4 laptop, 1gb ram, w/ ati mobile radeon 9000.
Hey Mikey,
The software looks really good!!
I have a mac that can be used for testing.
Let me know if you are interested.
